Senior Pastor

Rev. Mark E. Kreemer

Dear Friends in Christ,

Come to me, all you that are weary and are carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.—Matthew 11:28-30

We live in a fast-paced world today where success and self-worth are tied to our career achievements and the rewards that go with them. If we are moving up the corporate ladder, then we are somebody. But this satisfaction never lasts. We grow restless—always wanting more. In recent years, I have watched my daughter play soccer and I have seen this trait passed on to our kids, as parents and coaches pressure their children to win the game.

Vincent de Paul advises, “Be careful to preserve your health. It is a trick of the devil, which he employs to deceive good souls, to incite them to do more than they are able, in order that they may no longer be able to do anything.”

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church has been serving the Massillon, Ohio community for over 150 years. If you are finding yourself burned out by the pace and demands of the world today, I invite you to come and find some rest here at St Paul’s Lutheran. In Baptism and Holy Communion, which we celebrate weekly, we find the peace and forgiveness that the world cannot give. We experience God’s grace through prayer, worship, and service and feel compelled to share the good news of Jesus Christ with others.

May God’s Rich Blessings be with You,

Pastor Mark Kreemer
