on Wheels
Purpose: The
Gospel on Wheels program will coordinate a visitation program between mobile
members of our congregation and those members who are home-bound.
Membership: Anyone who has transportation
and a willing heart. Couples are encouraged. Your schedule will be flexible,
days or evenings and allow for your vacation trips, etc.
Biblical basis: Romans 1:10 10One
of the things I always pray for is the opportunity, God willing, to come
at last to see you. 11For I long to visit you so I can share
a spiritual blessing with you that will help you grow strong in the Lord. 12I’m
eager to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged
by yours. In this way, each of us will be a blessing to the other.
The Gospel on Wheels program
will assist our Pastor by offering member visitations between his regular
communion visits.
Training will be given to visitors
by Pastor Oster or Pastor Brigham drawing from their experience.
The Gospel on Wheels program
will attempt to arrange visitation in an area close to you. It will try
to include all of our shut-ins, depending on your prayerful response.
